This year, in memory of his father Paul Felzen, philanthropist and friend of Yiddish Tony Felzen has generously offered us a five-fold matching donation: each euro (or dollar) raised by April 15 in our crowdfunding campaign to fund student scholarships will be matched by Tony Felzen with 5 euros (or dollars) to underwrite the summer program’s costs of operation, for a maximum donation of 20,000 euros (approximately $25,000).
The scholarship money collected as a result of this campaign will be offered in particular to young students under the age of 35, eliminating financial barriers that would otherwise prevent them from participating in the summer program.
Help us meet our goal of raising 4000 euros (approximately $5000) in scholarship money that will provide students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Yiddish, while simultaneously enabling the summer program to benefit from Tony’s matching donation offer to the maximum degree!
